The vacuum plunger assembly (vacuum diaphragm + plunger + oil needle assembly) is the core component of the vacuum membrane carburetor. Relying on the negative air pressure to pull the rubber diaphragm, the plunger and the oil needle rise, changing the air intake volume. Damage and aging of the diaphragm will lead to weak acceleration, unstable idling, and stalling.
